Commonwealth Games-2010 silver medalist Babita Kumari of India clinched bronze medal in the 51 kg category in the Senior Female World Wrestling Championship being held at the Millennium Place (Strathcona County, Canada) on 28 September. In the repech, Babita defeated Rakhmanov Zamira of Russia. Earlier, the Indian wrestler had beaten Chiu Hsin Ju of Taipei and Risako Kawai of Japan. However, she was beaten by Macdonald Boundy Jessica Anne Maria of Canada in the semi-final round. The hosts wrestler beat Yanan Sun of China for the gold medal.
