Core Education bags Rs 157 crore deal from Himachal Pradesh government


MUMBAI: Core EducationBSE 0.43 % and Technologies today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 157 crore from the Himachal Pradesh government for providing computer-aided learning solutions in 1,471 schools across 12 districts of the state.

The company has signed an agreement with the Himachal Pradesh government for implementing next-generation solutions for teaching and learning in the state, Core Education and Technologies said in a filing to the BSE.

"This will help the state provide computer-aided learning solutions in 1,471 schools across 12 districts. The total value of the project is Rs 157.45 crore," it added.

As part of the agreement, the company will provide education solutions, including digital classrooms equipped with interactive white boards and multimedia content in five smart schools, 618 government senior secondary schools and 848 government high schools in the state.

"It will also be responsible for training 7,500 teachers which will directly enhance learning outcomes in government schools across the state," it said.

Core Education and Technologies has an order book of over Rs 40 crore to train over 95,000 students.
