ICC T20 World Cup: India vs Pakistan live score

One question everyone is asking is whether Dhoni will include Sehwag in the team or not in India vs Pakistan match in ICC T20 World Cup 2012 cricket tournament. Meanwhile it will be a very lively game as both team will do their best to win it

India vs Pakistan match is going to be the mother of all games. Many said that India vs Australia was the mini final. But let me tell you, this match is really final if two teams, India and Pakistan’s fate is concerned. If India lose this match, they are out of the tournament. Pakistan who have already won a match against South Africa will have one more go to decide whether they remain in the game or thrown out of it.

With the sort of dressing down India got at the hands of Australia they simply look down and out. But Pakistan too is not in the best of health and the way they played against South Africa was nothing to cheer about. Their batting was simply very poor and had Umar Gul failed to come out with a miraculous inning of 32 runs against top notch bowling, they were doomed to lose the match.

But the worst was the condition of India against Australia. Their bowlers are obviously down and out of form. Zaheer, the mainstay of the Indian bowling has repeatedly flopped in the series and we cannot expect a miracle against Pakistan. But the worse was the case of Indian batting. India survives in cricket due to its predominant batting shows. With batsmen failing to score huge total, beleaguered Indian bowling was not expected to defend a rather small total against a very effective Australian batting. Watson and Warner took the attack to the Indian camp and demolished the bowling with superb batting and great stroke-play.

Now there is a raging controversy in the Indian camp over the reason Dhoni forced India’s top notch batsman Virendra Sehwag sit out during the match against Australia. Reports suggest that Indian camp is divided with several players in the Indian camp criticising Dhoni for not including Sehwag in the playing XI.

Meanwhile Indian fans too are criticising Dhoni for keeping Sehwag out of the team against Australia and demand that he should be in the final XI. A reader says that team against Australia was very poor selection by India. Irfan Pathan clearly isn’t a T20 opener, playing three specialist spinners was also ridiculous when you have Yuvraj, Sehwag and Raina already in the side as perfectly serviceable back-up spinners. Sending Raina to bat as low as No. 6 was a total waste. If India are to have a realistic chance against Pakistan, they need to recall Sehwag in place of the ineffectual Chawla, retain Yuvraj (as much of a potential match-winner as Viru, fully fit or not), promote Raina up to No. 4 & drop Dhoni – who takes far too long to play himself in – down to No. 7 or 8”.  Meanwhile even Ravi Shastri and Sanjay Manjrekar have questioned the team selection and have demanded that Dhoni must include Sehwag in the team and give rest to Yuvraj Singh who is still not in his best health.
