Inter language exams dates changed

Hyderabad:  The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has altered the exam dates of language papers of both first year and second year that are scheduled for March.

Bowing to the pressure and requests from various groups, the Board changed the dates.
As per the new schedule, exams would start first with Telugu and then followed by English and others. For the last eight years, the first language i.e. English exam was being held first followed by the second language Telugu.

The Junior College Lecturers Association, SFI and some other student bodies urged the Board to alter the exams and even demanded that the English exam could be held last. The Board acceded to their request, and, accordingly, it released an order on Saturday stating that second language under Part-II (Telugu/ Urdu) would be held on the 1st day of the commencement of the examinations and English paper under Part-I would be held on 2nd day of the examinations.

The dates of remaining exams would remain the same and there would be no alterations, according to Ram Shankar Naik, Secretary, BIE.  The exams will commence at 9 am and end at 12 noon every day.
