Applications invited for PG diploma in forestry management

Bhopal, January 3: Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal has invited applications for the Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM). The two year PGDFM is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and equated to a corresponding Masters Degree of an Indian University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). 

The objective of the course is to impart management skills in the areas of forests, environment, livelihood and conservation and development management. The admission to the course is through Common Admission Test (CAT) being conducted by the Indian Institute of Management. The candidates have to separately apply to IIFM. Applicants should have at least three year Bachelor's degree in any disciplined obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification. 

Candidates appearing for the final year graduation examinations are also eligible to apply provide they complete it before June 30, 2014 and fulfill the eligibility criteria as set by IIFM. The closing date for submission of applications to IIFM is January 21, 2014.
